Ecuador is divided into four regions: The Andes region, known for its beautiful mountain landscapes, colonial cities and indigenous tows. Our Coast has many beaches, surfing spots and delicious seafood. The Amazon Rainforest, home to unique species of flora and fauna as our continental biodiversity hotspot. Finally, Galapagos Islands offers opportunities to snorkel its crystal waters filled with sea life, spot unique island wildlife and observe evolution like Charles Darwin did in 1835.
Day 1
Arrival in Quito city transfer in from airport, overnight in Quito. (-/-/-)
Day 2
City tour in Quito’s old town and visit The Middle of the World Monument. Overnight in Quito. (B/-/-)
Day 3
Depart from Quito to Otavalo indigenous textail production center. Overnight in Quito. (B/-/-)
Day 4
Discover Mindo’s Cloud Forest at 1500m, do some bird watching, hike in the waterfall sanctuary, visit the chocolate factory and enjoy the butterfly farm. Overnight in Quito. (B/-/-)
Day 5
Hike around Cotopaxi national park by Limpiopungo lagoon at 3800m. Overnight in the «Hacienda La Ciénega», were Alexander overnighted on his journey to the south of Ecuador. (B/-/-)
Day 6
Visit the turquoise crater lake Quilotoa, fell the freedom of the andes and enjoy the spectacular landscapes surrounding you. Connect with yourself again at 3600m!!! Overnight in Guamote or the surrounding area. (B/-/D)
Day 7
This day we will drive back to the north to hike on the highest mountain in Ecuador, the Chimborazo. We will reach the 5100m and after a hot chocolate, we will drive again to Guamote to visit the project intisisa, focused in the aid of local indigena children. Overnight in Guamote. (B/BL/D)
Day 8
Depart from Guamote and head to Ingapirca Inca ruins. Overnight in Cuenca. (B/-/-)
Day 9
Discover the UNESCO world cultural heritage city Cuenca, with a city tour in the old town. We will visit the Panama Hat factory (sombrero de Paja Toquilla) and optionally Gualaceo and Chordeleg. Overnight in Cuenca. (B/-/-)
Day 10
This day we are heading to the “pearl of the pacific” the city of Guayaquil, on the way we will visit the “El Cajas” National Park with its amazing views and then to the coast “ The Manglares Churute” reserve, one of the last mangrove forests in Ecuador. Overnight in Guayaquil. (B/-/-)
Day 11
Depending on your chosen program, you can continue your trip to Galapagos or take your international flight. (B/-/-)
