Quito is the capital city of Ecuador and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is located in the Andes mountains, at an altitude of 2,850 meters above sea level. Quito has a rich cultural and historical heritage, as well as a variety of natural and urban attractions. Here are some of the main tourist attractions in Quito that you should not miss:

» The Historic Center: This is the largest and best-preserved colonial center in Latin America, with many churches, museums, plazas, and monuments. You can see his paintings, sculptures, and murals that reflect his social and political views. You can also visit his house and studio, which are preserved as they were when he lived there.
